A family business that knows the Centenary system inside out
Brian came up with the name Big Difference in 2002. The promise behind it is simple: a home improvement shouldn't just be finished. The advice, the workmanship and the care after the job should make a big difference to how you use your home.
Before starting Big Difference, Brian worked on designing the Fielders Centenary product. It is still the main structural system we use for patios, verandahs and carports.
We're a local, family-owned South Australian business. When you call us after your job is finished, you speak to a local team that knows the original job.

Slidetrack blinds
Fabric restrained on all four sides in full-length guides, for a neat, strong blind with less flapping.

Because we build the structure and install the blinds and decking, we plan beams, pelmets, power and trades together.

Does Big Difference handle council approval?
Yes, where it is included in the quote. Big Difference can prepare the design documentation and coordinate the Development Application and Building Consent, with council fees, engineering and any specialist reports itemised.
Does Big Difference build timber pergolas or curved roofs?
No. Big Difference builds steel pergolas, not timber ones, and does not build curved roofs. Its verandahs use gable, hip-end, flat (skillion) and flyover roof forms.
